Storz & Bickel Venty

$449

The Venty is worth it for daily users who want the fastest heat-up and most airflow Storz & Bickel sells; occasional users should buy the Crafty+ or Mighty+ instead. A verdict built from the maker's spec pages, the retailer listing and named reviewers.

Is the Storz & Bickel Venty worth it?

Yes, for daily users who want the fastest, freest-drawing portable Storz & Bickel makes: Smoke Cartel lists the Venty at $449.00 (checked October 2026), and it is the only S&B portable with a 20-second heat-up, airflow adjustable up to 20 liters per minute and a flowmeter that matches heating to your draw. It is not worth it for a bowl or two a week, pocket carry or removable batteries; the Mighty+ (about $399) and Crafty+ (about $279) share the heating principle. The premium buys speed and airflow, not flavor.

What follows is a spec-sheet verdict assembled from Storz & Bickel's Venty page and quick guide, the Smoke Cartel listing behind our link and two named reviewers, rather than first-hand use.

What the Venty is, from the maker's own page

Storz & Bickel describes the Venty as its most powerful portable, with a patented combination of convection and conduction heating driven by a new mini heater. The headline figures on the product page are a 20 Seconds Heat-Up Time, 20 Liters/Minute Adjustable Airflow, a temperature range of 104°F to 410°F set on an LC display with buttons or through the S&B Web App, and a Booster and Superbooster that each add 27°F at a double-click of the power button. The quick guide fills in the base pre-set of 356°F and notes the booster offsets deactivate after 90 seconds unless you enable Permanent Boost in the app.

Power comes from 2 x 18650 lithium-ion batteries rated by the maker at a maximum of 130 Watts at 16 Amps, charged through a USB-C socket with a Supercharge function the page rates at about 80% in 40 minutes. The filling chamber is the familiar 1.4 cm³ ceramic-coated chamber shared with the Mighty+, the body is 1.85 inches wide, 6.18 inches tall and 1.46 inches deep, and the quick guide gives the weight as approximately 252 g (0.56 lbs). The device is certified to UL 8139 and IEC 60335-1, carries a 2-year warranty plus 1 year upon registration, and is labelled suitable for dry herbs and not for tobacco, tobacco products or nicotine.

The feature that separates it from every other S&B portable is the flowmeter, which Storz & Bickel says measures the negative pressure of your inhalation and dynamically adjusts the heating to match the draw. In practice that is why the Venty can offer a setting wheel with three airflow notches, from an air outlet that is almost closed to one that is completely open, without the vapor thinning out as you open it up. Our Venty temperature and airflow guide walks through the settings.

Read across the table and the pattern is clear: all three share the temperature range, the heating principle and the chamber, so the Venty's extra cost is paying for the mini heater's speed, the airflow system and the flowmeter. The Mighty+ matches it on batteries and fast charging; the Crafty+ undercuts both on price and weight. Storz & Bickel also sells the Veazy, a one-button model listed at USD 249.00 with a heat-up time of about 40 seconds and 10 liters/min of airflow; it is the budget end of the range rather than a Venty alternative, and we do not have a retailer link for it. Our Venty versus Mighty+ comparison goes deeper on the two-battery pair.

The case for buying it

Speed. A 20-second heat-up against about 1 min for the Mighty+ and Crafty+ changes how you use a session device: you reach for it for a single bowl the way people reach for an on-demand device, and you stop planning around a warm-up.

Airflow you can set. Doubling the Mighty+'s 10 liters per minute to 20, with a wheel to dial it back, is the Venty's signature. Planet of the Vapes' review lists effortless hits with adjustable airflow among its pros and calls the draw smooth and low-resistance.

Battery life as reported by reviewers. Storz & Bickel does not publish session counts, so this figure comes from third parties and should be read as such: Planet of the Vapes' review states that on a full charge you can expect 12–14 bowls per charge, and 420 VapeZone's 2026 portable ranking says the Venty can vape 12 bowls per charge and supports fast charging via USB-C. Both are retailer or affiliate-funded reviewers, but they agree, and the maker's 80% in 40 minutes Supercharge figure covers the gaps.

Reputation. 420 VapeZone ranks the Venty first on its best portable list and its author calls it his most used portable vaporizer; Planet of the Vapes concludes that the Venty is poised to replace the Mighty+ as Storz & Bickel's top portable vaporizer. Those are opinions, sourced and named, not measurements.

Warranty and certification. A 2-year warranty plus 1 year upon registration, and certification to UL 8139 and IEC 60335-1 printed on the maker's page, are longer and more specific than most portables in this price range offer.

The case against buying it

The price. $449.00 at Smoke Cartel is the figure to justify, and Storz & Bickel's own store listed the same USD 449.00. Planet of the Vapes' own verdict is "If you can swing the $449 price tag, go for it", which is a conditional, not a blanket recommendation.

It is not pocketable. At 6.18 inches tall and 0.56 lb it is taller than the Mighty+ and nearly double the weight of the Crafty+. Planet of the Vapes lists large size among its cons. If discretion is the brief, our Pax Mini versus DynaVap guide is the better starting point.

No removable batteries and no concentrates. Both appear in Planet of the Vapes' cons list. The 2 x 18650 cells are built in, so when they age the device goes back to the maker rather than taking a fresh cell, and Storz & Bickel's page lists the Venty as suitable for dry herbs only.

Consumables. The cooling unit is a wear part. Storz & Bickel's store lists Cooling Units for the Venty, 3 pieces, at USD 62.10 and a Wear & Tear Set for the Venty at USD 37.70, checked October 2026. We cost that out over a year in Venty cooling unit wear; it does not change the verdict, but it belongs in the price.

Flavor is not the reason. Nothing on the maker's pages gives the Venty a different chamber or a different heating principle from the Mighty+. If someone tells you it tastes better, that is a report of the airflow and cooler vapor path, not a different heater.

Who should buy the Venty

  • You use a portable most days and want the shortest wait between deciding and drawing.
  • You share sessions or run several bowls back to back, where 20 liters per minute of airflow and a 20-second heat-up stop being luxuries.
  • You already own a Mighty+ or Crafty+, know you like the Storz & Bickel way of doing things, and want the faster, freer version of it.

FAQ

How long does the Venty battery last?

Storz & Bickel publishes the charging figure, about 80% in 40 minutes with the USB-C Supercharge function, but not a session count. Planet of the Vapes' review puts a full charge at 12–14 bowls, and 420 VapeZone reports 12 bowls per charge. Treat those as reviewer figures rather than a maker specification.

Is the Venty better than the Mighty+?

Faster and freer-drawing, yes: 20 seconds against about 1 min to heat, and up to 20 liters per minute of adjustable airflow against a fixed 10. On the heater principle, the chamber, the temperature range and the fast-charge figure they match, and the Mighty+ costs less at about $399. Better depends on whether you will use the speed and airflow.

Does the Venty work with concentrates?

Storz & Bickel's page lists it as suitable for dry herbs, and Planet of the Vapes' review lists no concentrate support among the cons. Buy it for dry herb.

Has the Venty been discontinued or replaced?

No. Storz & Bickel's US store listed it in stock at USD 449.00 when checked in October 2026 and still bills it as its most powerful portable; the smaller Veazy sits below it in the range, not above it.

What does it cost to keep running?

The cooling unit and its seals wear with use. Storz & Bickel's store listed a 3-piece set of Venty Cooling Units at USD 62.10 and a Venty Wear & Tear Set at USD 37.70 when checked in October 2026; dosing capsules are optional and we weigh them up in our dosing capsule guide.

Is the Venty worth it over the Crafty+ for a first Storz & Bickel device?

Only if speed and airflow are already the reason you are shopping. The Crafty+ gives you the same temperature range and heating principle at about $279, which leaves room to find out how often you actually use a portable before spending Venty money. Check the Venty's price at Smoke Cartel once you know the answer.
